I HEAR HIS VOICE - 3YGB froth

Ahahaha, it comes, the inevitable 3YGB froth blog post. Erp, it's a big long wall of text.

Firstly, thank you to the refs for writing an awesome event and for giving me a character who was great fun to play.

Daxynrae started out as one big grieving, terrified mess, with one friend in the whole world who she couldn't even trust, and the Titan she loved and served dead, but unable to tell anyone. Then she found that her mad, mutated sister who she had last seen attempting to sacrifice her to the Spider Queen Lloth was in fact present, that there was a snake with a vested interest in her precious book, that Dusk wasn't as dead as she thought he was... and this was all before she got hit by insanity. After that, I spent most of the rest of the afternoon having way too much fun screaming and crying and muttering nonsense to myself, which lasted pretty much up to the linear where Daxynrae died for the first time.

After sort of helping to kill the Priestess of Lloth, she died in a drow attack in complete and utter confusion, and came back as an elemental which I decided to give temporary amnesia to. Overwhelmed by the discovery that Dusk was still very much present, she wandered around in a haze while people kept talking about past, and a death, and a drow called Daxynrae... which slowly all came together in her head until she was brought right back to earth with a thump when she discovered that Xanthias was dead and his returned left eye brutally mocked his memories.

There was time for mourning, but there was also urgency - for Daxynrae had heard Dusk's voice, and the avatar of Dusk approached! And indeed at sundown, an unexpected snake reappeared to save the day and kill Sethos. And thus Daxynrae was avenged and met the avatar of her Titan, who pretty much didn't leave her side from then on. Her sanity now mostly restored thanks to the calming presence of Dusk and her determination to keep herself together in memory of Xanthias, Daxynrae lasted until the fight with Lloth, where she was finally killed by elementals in an utterly failed attempt to stay behind the fighters and sacrifice any fallen enemies to Dusk. Soon afterwards, of course, PvP happened and there was a Titan ascension, congratulations Noir!

A big thank you to my group:
- Dragon as Sethos, for *that* ritual, for causing Daxynrae to make a scene whenever she saw you in the fits of her insanity, and for that final scene of monologuing and revenge.
- Dre as Iridan, for the fantastic make-up, for being deliciously creepy and for slightly unsubtle matchmaking.
- Paul as Xanthias, for being hitty, for accidental awesomeness in the name of Dusk, for giving Daxynrae a stupid amount of emotional conflict and for being one bastard of an eye.

Also thank you to Carrie as Anastriadara, for causing Daxynrae no end of angst. And your costume was brilliant!

And thank you to Vicky as Vestris, for unexpected avatarness, and being most wonderful dedicated protector ever (until I died, but never mind that :P).

Thanks to the other groups - the snakes for being scary, culty, shouty, chanty things; the Aegyptians for creepiness and dramatic rituals; the Army for fun banter - I regret not hanging out with you guys more, but insanity is distracting; the drixies for being adorable, in a horrible Cthulu-esque way; the imps for hilarious mocking - you gave me a hard time not cracking up when my character was clearly upset; and finally the crew, you wonderful load of cannibal, tea-worshipping neat freaks, you.

So yeah, all in all, thank you everyone for making it a great event, roll on next year, and for everyone who got this far into the froth you probably ought to know that you should totally COME TO NERD EAST! Thank you and good night. :D
